How does this work with the Georgia run-off? It looks like it could end with 50 Rs (Nevada and Alaska going R) and then the rerun in Georgia, which with some luck could result in the 51st R.

This question will settle as "Yes" if after the November 2022 midterm elections Republicans have won more seats to the Senate. A tie in the chamber will be considered Democrats holding the Senate due to the Vice President having the tie breaker vote, assuming that the Vice President is still a Democrat. 

The market will close as soon as major media outlets have called enough races to make a determination. In the case of uncertainty, the market may remain open until the first week of January, when the new Congress is sworn in.
